About the book
The Danube Emotives
The book The Danube Emotives is a joint work of two friends. Their connection is the result of photographs taken by Peter Stín, who spent most of his free time on the banks of the Dunaj. Influenced by memories from his childhood, having the charm of the river in front of his eyes, he let develop a passion with which he captures the essence of its beauty in photographs.
The verses are written by Mark Sandiford, who, sailing the Danube and producing musical performances, was fully inspired by his friend’s photos and his two-year personal encounter with the river.
The combination of images and verses exudes a certain mythical abstract presence and brings a downright meditative insight into the seemingly endless flow. Here we recreate the phenomenon of the Dunaj in its daily, alternating inverse transformations.

Our satisfied customers
The work of two authors whose origins and personal backgrounds could not be more different. And that's why the piece was fresh and clean, pleasing with its "imagery" and demanding "poem".
Nostalgic, but not rustic. Modern, but emotional."
